The Result
A two-day client evening at Porsche East London's Royal Docks garage — welcoming drinks, canapés and client interactions for Porsche members, with a professional DJ playing in the background at a comfortable volume. The evening also included an interview and a live panel Q&A, with audience questions passed around the room on a handheld wireless microphone.
Speakers were rigged on tripods, with staging built over the main speaker feed cable and every loose cable on the floor taped down and concealed for health and safety. The DJ feed and two professional UHF microphones ran through a six-channel mixer out to two main speakers, with a third speaker fed from a line out on the second — sound continuously rebalanced for each speaker as they spoke to keep a consistent volume through the panel and interview segments.
Four 120-watt wireless uplighters added a pink wash to the bar area, and background music leaned on relaxed chill-out, Hed Kandi and soul funk at the start and close of the evening — kept low enough throughout for the speeches and panel discussion to stay the focus of the room.
We've been a regular PA and DJ supplier for Porsche events since early 2019, and showroom acoustics are now second nature to us — the specific bass and treble configuration a speeches-and-panel PA setup needs to avoid echo and get even sound dispersion across a large showroom floor is exactly the kind of brief we're built for.
