The Event

This barn wedding was an exception to our usual London-based event services, as we extended our reach to Oxford for Wytham Hall, following a referral from previous clients.

Wytham Hall is a charming venue for village events, accommodating up to 100 people for private hire.

The hall is linked to the village Church, hosting various events, including art exhibitions and the annual Christmas carol service.

The client was the fifth booking from our referrals. This event included the same close friends as previous weddings, but in a barn setting, differing from marquee weddings and the Brewery venue in Moorgate.

Despite prior meetings with the DJ, the client had three consultations over the phone and discussed staging requirements via email for the best setup.

They met for coffee, during which they reviewed past wedding playlists, allowing the DJ to select songs freely aside from the first dance while discussing invoices and necessary certifications.

On the event day, the DJ set up at 2.30 pm before guest arrival at 4 pm, playing relaxed Motown music between speeches.

The couple's first dance was Jessie Ware - Wildest Moments, followed by a mix of 70s, 80s, and 90s disco and commercial RNB until midnight, with a pack-down by 1 am.

We offer face-to-face or virtual meetings to ensure tailored experiences for every event.

The DJ did not conduct a site visit but requested photos and stage dimensions to prepare adequately.

For distant events without a site visit, we advise DJs to bring extra equipment and backups to prepare for any unforeseen issues.
