Where this fits

Professional DJ hire, priced honestly

Party Night London has priced and delivered DJ services across every corner of this city’s nightlife and events scene, from independent bars to five-star hotels, from milestone birthdays to corporate galas for major brands. That range of experience is exactly what tells you where the real value sits, and where corners get cut.

You’ll find entry-level and semi-professional DJs working London’s quieter bars for £30–£40/hr without agencies. That’s a real part of the market, and we know it well; it’s just not the market we work in. Party Night London operates from the professional tier upward: agency-vetted DJs, proper equipment, and pricing built around what your event actually needs.

Private parties & social events

Bar & private DJ sets

  • Standard professional booking £50–£150/hr
  • Premium venue or high-end bar (e.g. Mayfair) £150/hr and up
Night of the week and the calibre of the venue are the two biggest factors: a quieter midweek booking sits at the bottom of this range, a Friday or Saturday at a premium venue at the top.

Birthday parties

  • Standard birthday party £80–£150/hr
  • Milestone birthday (40th, 50th, bigger production) £150–£250/hr
  • DJ + full equipment package (80–150 guests) £750–£1,500
Birthdays and private parties are booked in a minimum of 3 hours.

Engagement parties

  • Engagement party (around 100 guests) £100–£150/hr, or £500–£1,000 flat

Weddings & corporate events

Wedding DJ

  • DJ fee only £100–£500/hr
  • DJ + full equipment package From £1,250
Weddings are priced separately from other private parties: they call for more preparation, more consultation and often longer days with waiting time built in. The DJ’s experience, the planning your day needs and whether the venue supplies any equipment all affect where your quote lands. Full wedding DJ cost guide →

Corporate events

  • Standard corporate (office parties, product launches) £100–£250/hr
  • Gala, awards ceremony, or fashion show £250–£1,000/hr
  • Corporate video DJ set (synced visuals, venue supplies screens/CDJs) £600–£2,500
Corporate events are typically booked in 2–3 hour slots, with a 2-hour minimum for larger galas.

Worth knowing

Why professional DJs cost more than £30–£40 an hour

You will find DJs in London for £30–£40 an hour, and for a quiet bar night that can be fine. For a wedding, a milestone birthday or a corporate event, the higher rate pays for things that decide whether the night goes well.

Experience that reads a room

Our DJs are vetted and senior, many with 15 years or more behind the decks, so the floor stays full from the first song to the last.

Insured, venue-ready kit

£10m public liability cover and PAT-tested equipment, with the paperwork venues ask for before they let a supplier in.

Planned in advance

Playlists tailored to your guests beforehand, and timings agreed for speeches, first dances, awards and announcements.

Set-up handled properly

Set-up, sound-check and pack-down are done discreetly, so your event starts on time and the venue is left as we found it.
Working to a tight budget? Tell us. We will be straight about what is realistic, whether that means a shorter set or using the venue’s own sound system.
